April is Cesarean Delivery Awareness Month. If you are wondering, “What is a Cesarean Delivery?”  A Cesarean section, also known as C-section or Cesarean delivery, is the surgical procedure by which one or more babies are delivered through an incision in the birthing parent’s abdomen. It is often performed because vaginal delivery would put the baby or birthing parent at risk. A Cesarean can be planned, unplanned or emergent.
